ABOUT THE BIBLE - We believe the scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and the final authority for Christian faith and life. (2Timothy 3:16-17; 2Peter 1:20-21, Matthew 5:17-18, Psalm 119:105)
ABOUT GOD - We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1Peter 1:2; 2Corinthians 13:14)
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST - We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Father He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; Hebrews 4:14-15; Acts 1:9-11)
Our Statement of Faith
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT - We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 14:16-17; John 16:13-15; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25)
ABOUT MAN - We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost; that only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 3; Isaiah 53:6; Isaiah 59:1-2; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3)
ABOUT SALVATION - We believe that the death of Jesus Christ and his resurrection provide the only ground for the salvation of all who believe, and only those who receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; John 14:16; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3: 26)
ABOUT THE CHURCH - We believe that the true church is composed of all people who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit; they are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. That only those who are members of the true church shall be eligible for membership in the local church. (Acts 2:47; 1Corinthians 12:13; Romans 12:5; Matthew 16:18; Colossians 1:18)
ABOUT CHRIST'S RETURN - We believe in the personal, premillenial and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and this “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. (Acts 1:9-11; Luke 22:29-30; 1 Corinthians 15:24; John 14:1-3; Revelation 21:1)
ABOUT ETERNITY - We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting life in Heaven with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and to everlasting punishment in Hell. (John 3:16; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:20-24; Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 20:13-15)
